“Last Words”
2007-11-19 | Filed under Published |
The second issue of The Back Alley is now online. It includes my story “Last Words” plus some other stuff that I’m sure is very enjoyable, but haven’t had a chance to read yet.
Based on the Editor’s Note, Mr. Helms seems to think I should be surprised to find out The Back Alley obtained my picture. To which I say: Ha! That old head shot is nothing. If he can dig up the picture with the Nutella, the fursuit, and the goat, then I’ll be impressed.

I see no picture there. But a quick Google search turns up a pic posted at Shred. Doesn’t seem like a stretch to find a picture of you on your own site.
Wait, since when is “Megan Powell” not your real name? Or do they mean your married name? I’m so confused.
And look, I remembered to click through and comment here this time.
Where is the picture? I search in vain.
Patti: A bunch of bios follow the Editor’s Note.
Beth: Nice to see you over here. And yeah, if the byline doesn’t match the name on the check, that counts as not being your real name. (Not that the bank’s ever paid attention when I deposited checks for “Megan Powell”…)
Graham: Well, yes. But if they’re not going to let logic stand in the way of a joke, why should I?
Liked the story and the pic:) Have a happy turkey day with Larry, the pups and the cats!
Okay…the Nutella and the fursuit I can kinda see…but the goat? Perhaps I don’t need to know.
Happy turkey day to you guys. Love you MHPM.;)
The goat was in the fursuit.
Happy Thanksgiving, Megan. For many years, I spent it in Philly. Sad that I may never get there again.
